DromonClass completes two years in ISOLA An Innovative European Research Project
Dromon Bureau of Shipping (DromonClass) has completed the second consecutive year in participating in the project “Innovative and Integrated Security System on Board covering the life cycle of a Passenger ships voyage” (hereinafter referred to as ISOLA).
The Project is covered under the EU’s Horizon 2020, Research and Framework Programme and it is expected to be completed by 31 August 2023. DBS is dedicated in continuing active participation in the project.

Members of the Project have published the following articles during 2022:
a. Innovative Solutions to Filling-in the Ships’ Security Capability Gaps: EU funded project ISOLA (May 23, 2022)
b. Chemical dispersion modelling for critical infrastructure (August 9, 2022)
c. Visual analysis for object detection supporting edge-computing solutions (August 25, 2022)
d. Crowd monitoring and abnormal behaviour detection from visual content (September 6, 2022)
e. Real-time Crisis Classification in the ISOLA System (September 26, 2022)
DromonClass participates in field demonstrations and testing of the project’s platform. More specifically, DromonClass tests the platform via real exercises-field trials in which each use case developed will be simulated involving technical, research partners and end-users, according to the scenarios.
