Dromon Bureau of Shipping offers services related to the assessment of monitoring plans, verification of emission reports and issuing an opinion, as required under EU Legislation following the EU ETS Directive (Directive 2003/87/EC).

DBS is accredited under ISO14079 and can provide validation and verification services related to:

  1. ISO14064, for the quantification and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions and removals;
  2. Regulation EU 2018/2066 on the monitoring and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions, including the EU Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS).

Participation in the EU ETS scheme is mandatory for companies in the following activities:

  1. Electricity and heat generation;
  2. Energy-intensive industry sectors, including:
    1. Oil refineries;
    2. Steelworks;
    3. Production of iron, aluminium, metals, cement, lime, glass, ceramics, pulp, paper, cardboard, acids and bulk organic chemicals;
  3. Aviation ;
  4. Maritime Transport;
  5. Incineration of municipal waste.
