The International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships (MARPOL)
MARPOL 73/78 Convention includes a set of regulations aimed at preventing pollution of the sea from ships. At the moment there are six different Annexes with regulations dealing with different aspect of marine pollution as outlined below:
Annex I Regulations for the Prevention of Pollution by Oil from Ships
Annex II Regulations for the Prevention of Pollution by Noxious Liquid Substances in Bulk
Annex III Regulations for the Prevention of Pollution by Harmful Substances Carried by Sea in Packaged Form, or in Freight Containers, Portable Tanks or Road and Rail Tank Wagons
Annex IV Regulations for the Prevention of Pollution by Sewage from Ships
Annex V Regulations from the Prevention of Pollution by Garbage from Ships
Annex VI Regulations for the Prevention of Pollution of Air from Ships
How we can assist
We are authorized by various flag Administrations to issue all statutory certificates required by MARPOL Convention.
